Young Lions Czeched out

After salvaging a late 1-1 draw against favourites Spain and being held to a goalless draw by Ukraine, England needed a win against the Czech Republic to make it to the last four of the 2011 UEFA under 21 tournament in Denmark. England seemed to be on their way to the semi-finals when Daniel Welbeck gave them a deserved lead with a firm header in the 76th minute, but with a minute left on the clock, Chramosta knocked the ball past the impressive Frank Fielding for the equalizer, and as England pushed forward in stoppage time a Czech counter-attack resulted in Chramosta teeing the ball up for Pekhart to score the winner with the last kick of the match.

Going up

Swansea City took an unassailable 3-0 first-half lead at Wembley and despite Reading’s valiant attempted comeback became the fist Welsh side to gain promotion to the Premier League winning 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Scott Sinclair.
Darren Ferguson took Peterborough United to Old Trafford where 3 late goals against Huddersfield Town gave them promotion to the Championship
A single goal at Old Trafford saw Stevenage move up into League 1 at the expense of Torquay, and at the City of Manchester Stadium, after a goalless draw AFC Wimbledon won promotion to the Football League by beating Luton Town in a penalty shoot-out in the Conference play-off final.
