Week 11 - Chelsea demolished Everton 5-0 at Stamford Bridge to move above Manchester City and Arsenal as Middlesbrough earned a 1-1 draw with a last gasp goal at the Etihad and Arsenal drew their north London derby 1-1 with Tottenham at the Emirates, but Liverpool go into the international break at the top of the Premier League table after slaughtering Watford 6-1 at Anfield with Sadio Mane twice on the scoresheet. Burnley foiled Crystal Palace's 2 goal comeback, hitting them on the counter attack with the last kick of the game to win 3-2 at Turf Moor while 10-man Sunderland came from behind to win 2-1 at Bournemouth and Stoke picked up a 1-1 draw at West Ham. Leicester City lost 2-1 at home to West Brom while Hull City put an early setback behind them with 2 goals in quick succession for a 2-1 home win over Southampton and Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted twice as Manchester United won 3-1 at Swansea.        

Week 12 - Tottenham trailed West Ham United with a minute to go but turned the match around with a late brace from Harry Kane to win 3-2 at White Hart Lane while Arsenal needed a late goal to draw 1-1 at Manchester Untied and Manchester City won 2-1 at Crystal Palace with a double from Yaya Toure, but Chelsea went top with a single goal at Middlesbrough as Liverpool drew blanks at Southampton. Everton salvaged a 1-1 draw with a last-minute goal at home to Swansea while the match between Watford and Leicester was settled in the first 15 minutes 2-1 in favour of the hosts and Victor Anichebe scored twice at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland ran out 3-0 winners over Hull. Bournemouth were 1-0 winners at Stoke and on Monday evening Burnley were taken apart 4-0 at West Brom.

Week 13 - Tottenham took the lead at Chelsea but lost their unbeaten record after the league leaders struck just before and after the break while Manchester City also registered a 2-1 win as they came from a goal down at Burnley with a double from Aguero and Liverpool left it late to put 2 past Sunderland at Anfield. Crystal Palace, who had taken the lead at Swansea City, fell behind 3-1 thanks to 2 goals from Leroy Fer but regained the lead only to suffer a 5-4 defeat with Fernando Llorente netting twice in stoppage time for the Swans while Leicester City converted 2 penalties including one in stoppage time to cancel out a double from Middlesbrough's Negredo at the King Power Stadium and West Bromwich Albion drew 1-1 at Hull. Alexis Sanchez netted a brace as Arsenal sent Bournemouth home 3-1 losers while West Ham drew 1-1 at Manchester United and there were 1-0 wins for Stoke City at Watford and Southampton at home to Everton.

 Week 14 – Chelsea came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Manchester City who ended the match with 9 men while West Ham were humiliated 5-1 at home by Arsenal thanks to an Alexis Sanchez hat-trick and Swansea were taken apart 5-0 at Tottenham with doubles from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Bournemouth came from 3-1 down to score in stoppage time and celebrate a 4-3 home victory over Liverpool while Christian Benteke bagged 2 goals for Crystal Palace as they won 3-0 at home to Southampton and Burnley lost 2-0 at Stoke. Sunderland moved off the bottom of the table after a 2-1 home win over reigning champions Leicester while 10-man Watford lost 3-1 at West Brom and Everton earned a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United. On Monday evening one goal was enough to give Middlesbrough a win over Hull at the Riverside.    

Week 15 – Manchester City were taken apart at Leicester with 3 goals in the first 20 minutes and ended the match 4-2 losers thanks to a Jamie Vardy hat-trick while Arsenal conceded a penalty but fought back to win 3-1 at home to Stoke and go top for a day before being replaced by Chelsea who managed a 1-0 home win against West Brom. Fernando Llorento scored twice as Swansea celebrated a 3-0 victory over their visitors from Sunderland while Tottenham lost 1-0 at Manchester United and West Ham drew 2-2 at Liverpool. Crystal Palace drew 3-3 at Hull City while Stefano Okaka and Romelu Lukaku scored twice each for Watford and Everton respectively as Watford ran out 3-2 winners at Vicarage Road and Burnley enjoyed the same result at home to Bournemouth. A single goal gave Southampton a home win over Middlesbrough. 

Week 16 -  In midweek matches, Everton came from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 at Goodison Park giving Chelsea the opportunity to extend their lead at the top with a single goal at Sunderland while Liverpool overtook the Gunners into 2^nd place on goal difference after a 3-0 win at Middlesbrough with Adam Lallana netting twice. Salomon Rondon scored a headed hat-trick for West Brom in their 3-1 home win over Swansea City while Christian Eriksen scored a brace as Tottenham put 3 past their visitors from Hull without reply and Manchester City were 2-0 winners at home to Watford. Manchester United prevailed 2-1 at Crystal Palace and there were 1-0 home wins for Bournemouth over Leicester and West Ham against Burnley while Southampton drew blanks at 10-man Stoke City.

Week 17 – Chelsea extended their winning streak with a single goal at Crystal Palace while Arsenal took an early lead but lost 2-1 at Manchester City who overtook them into 3^rd place behind Liverpool who broke the deadlock in stoppage time for a win at Everton in the Merseyside derby. Ten-Man Leicester fought back from 2 down to earn a late draw at Stoke while Middlesbrough swept Swansea aside 3-0 at the Riverside with 2 goals from Alvaro Negredo and Zlatan Ibrahimovich scored both goals for Manchester United at West Brom. There were 1-0 home wins for Sunderland over Watford and West Ham against Hull City while 2 goals from Jay Rodriguez helped Southampton to a 3-1 victory after an early setback at Bournemouth and Tottenham came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Burnley.

Week 18 – On Boxing Day Chelsea picked up another win with 3 goals at the Bridge against Bournemouth while Manchester City left it late to achieve the same result at Hull City and a late goal at Arsenal broke West Bromwich Albion’s resistance. Everton won 2-0 at Leicester and Manchester United were 3-1 winners at home to Sunderland while Swansea were humiliated 4-1 at home to West Ham, resulting in the sacking of American coach Bob Bradley. Newly appointed Sam Allerdyce took Crystal Palace to Watford where they drew 1-1 while Middlesbrough lost 1-0 at Burnley in a match that saw 11 yellow cards brandished. On Tuesday evening Liverpool came from behind to thump Stoke City 4-1 at Anfield and on Wednesday evening Tottenham did the same at 10-man Southampton with Dele Alli netting a brace.

 Week 19 – Liverpool moved into 2^nd place after an early goal gave them a home victory over Manchester City who dropped down to 5^th place in the table when they were overtaken on Sunday by Arsenal who put 2 past Crystal Palace at the Emirates and Tottenham who eased past hosts Watford 4-1 with a couple of goals each from Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Chelsea continued their winning streak 4-2 at home to Stoke City while Manchester United turned their match around with 2 late goals in quick succession to beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Old Trafford and West Bromwich Albion came from behind to win 2-1 at Southampton who finished the match with 10 men. Swansea sank to the bottom of the table after a 3-0 loss at home to Bournemouth with Hull City having earned a 2-2 draw at home to Everton on Friday evening and Burnley demolished their visitors from Sunderland 4-1 with a hat-trick from Andre Gray. Champions Leicester City ended the year with a 1-0 home win over West Ham United.

Week 20 – A double Dele Alli header at Tottenham finally ended Chelsea’s winning run in the sole match on Wednesday evening while on previous evenings Arsenal fought back from 3 down to draw 3-3 at Bournemouth who ended the match with 10 players and Manchester United won 2-0 at 10-man West Ham United. Jermain Defoe struck twice from the spot to earn Sunderland a 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool while Manchester City defeated their visitors from Burnley 2-1 despite being reduced to 10 players in the first half and Everton left it late to strike 3 times at home to Southampton. Hull City lost 3-1 at West Brom and Swansea City picked up a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace while Watford lost 2-0 at Stoke and Leicester City played out a goalless draw at Middlesbrough. After 20 matches Chelsea are at the top of the table 5 points ahead of Liverpool.    

Three front runners

Week 1 - Champions Leicester City began the new season with a 2-1 defeat at Newly promoted Hull City while in a thriller at the Emirates runners-up Arsenal took the lead against Liverpool, who hit back with 4 goals in quick succession with 2 from Coutinho, but ended up 4-3 losers after an unsuccessful fightback. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City needed an early penalty and late own-goal to overcome Sunderland 2-1 at the Etihad while Mourinho’s Manchester United returned from Bournemouth with a 3-1 victory putting them on top of the table on goal difference after week one. Single goals gave Swansea and West Bromich Albion wins at Burnley and Crystal Palace respectively while there were 1-1 draws between Everton and Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Stoke; and Southampton and Watford who were the first team to see red this season. On Monday evening Chelsea scored to last minute 2-1 winner at home to West Ham United.

Week 2 – Zlatan Ibrahimovich scored both goals for Manchester United as they sent Southampton back with a defeat in the first ever Friday night Premier League match. On Saturday, last season’s runners-up, Arsenal, played out a goalless match at champions Leicester while Nolito added 2 late goals to an Aguera double to give Manchester City a flattering 4-1 win at Stoke and Chelsea came from behind with late goals to win 2-1 at Watford. Liverpool were stunned 2-0 at Burnley and Hull City won by the same scoreline with late goals at Swansea while West Brom lost their early lead and the match 2-1 at home to Everton and Crystal Palace fell to a late goal at Tottenham. On Sunday Middlesbrough were 2-1 winners at Sunderland while Bournemouth were defeated 1-0 at West Ham.

Week 3 – Leicester City and Arsenal picked up their first wins of the season with the champions overcoming Swansea 2-1 at home and Arsenal winning 3-1 at Watford while Manchester United broke the deadlock in stoppage time to continue their perfect start with a win at Hull. Chelsea also made it 3 wins out of 3 as they brushed Burnley aside 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, but Manchester City lead the way on goal difference after Raheem Sterling struck twice to dispose of West Ham United 3-1 at the Etihad. Crystal Palace scored their first goal of the season in the 90th minute to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth and there were also 1-1 draws for Liverpool at Tottenham and Sunderland at Southampton. Stoke were defeated 1-0 at Everton and Middlesbrough played a goalless match at West Bromwich Albion.

Week 4 - Watford came from 2 Michail Antonio goals down to sensationally win 4-2 at West Ham while in the Manchester derby City won 2-1 at United and champions Leicester City were taken apart 4-1 at Liverpool with Roberto Firmino scoring twice for the Reds. Heung-min Son scored twice as Stoke were swept aside 4-0 at home to Tottenham while Arsenal came from behind at the Emirates to win 2-1 with a stoppage time penalty against Southampton and Crystal Palace picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Middlesbrough. A single goal gave Bournemouth 3 points at home to West Bromwich Albion while Hull City earned a 1-1 draw with a late goal at Burnley and on Sunday Diego Costa scored the first and last goal of the match as Chelsea drew 2-2 at Swansea. Romelu Lukaku scored all 3 goals of the match for Everton in the space of 11 minutes at Sunderland on Monday evening.

Week 5 - On Friday evening Liverpool enjoyed a 2-1 win at Chelsea. At the weekend, for the second week in a row West Ham United were defeated 4-2 having scored twice after going 4 down at WBA while Manchester City battered Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad and there were 4-1 wins for Crystal Palace at home to Stoke City and Arsenal away to Hull City with Alexis Sanchez netting a brace. Everton continued their good start to the season with a 3-1 win at home to Middlesbrough and Leicester won 3-0 at home to Burnley with 2 goals from debutant Islam Slimani while Manchester United were beaten 3-1 at Watford and Sunderland fell to a single goal at Tottenham as did Swansea at Southampton.

Week 6 - Champions Leicester City were taken apart 4 times in the first half and were beaten 4-1 at Manchester United while Arsenal put Chelsea to the sword with a 3-0 victory they achieved before the break and ten-man Hull City were demolished 5-1 at Liverpool with James Milner netting twice from the spot. Aguero scored twice at Swansea as leaders Manchester City ran out 3-1 winners while Tottenham won 2-1 at Middlesbrough with Son scoring both goals for the visitors and Everton lost 1-0 at Bournemouth. Crystal Palace came from a Defoe double down to win 3-2 in stoppage time at Sunderland and a goal in stoppage time gave West Bromwich Albion a 1-1 draw at Stoke while on Sunday West Ham suffered another demoralising defeat losing 3-0 at home to Southampton and on Monday evening Burnley enjoyed a 2-0 home win over Watford.

Week 7 - Tottenham ended Manchester City's 100% record with a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane while Arsenal broke the deadlock with the last kick of the match at Burnley to keep up the pressure at the top and Liverpool came from behind to win 2-1 at Swansea while Chelsea struck twice at Hull. The week saw 6 draws starting on Friday night with Crystal Palace drawing 1-1 at Everton and there were 1-1 draws for West Brom at Sunderland, Middlesbrough at West Ham and for lowly Stoke City at Manchester United. Leicester City played a goalless match at home to Southampton and Watford shared 4 goals with their visitors from Bournemouth.             

 Week 8 - Maarten Stekelenburg saved 2 penalties for Everton who drew 1-1 at Manchester City and a last-minute goal gave Tottenham the same result at West Brom while 10-man Arsenal beat Swansea 3-2 with the help of a double from Theo Walcott at the Emirates to move into 2nd place behind City on goal difference. Stanislav scored twice as Hull were humiliated 6-1 at Bournemouth while Chelsea were 3 goals too strong for Leicester at the Bridge and a brace from Joe Allen gave Stoke 3 points at home to Sunderland. Ten-man West Ham held on to their single goal to win at Crystal Palace and Watford achieved the same scoreline at Middlesbrough while Southampton defeated Burnley 3-1 with Charlie Austin finding the net twice against his old club. On Monday evening Liverpool and Manchester United played out a goalless match.

Week 9 - Liverpool joined Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table separated by goal difference after a 2-1 home win over West Bromwich Albion as Manchester City drew 1-1 at home to Southampton and Arsenal were held to a goalless draw at home to Middlesbrough. Mourinho's Manchester United were taken apart 4-0 at Chelsea and Crystal Palace fell 3-1 at champions Leicester while Tottenham played a goalless game at Bournemouth and Watford settled for the same result at Swansea. Xherdan Shaqiri's brace gave Stoke a 2-0 victory at Hull while Burnley scored a last minute 2-1 winner at home to Everton and West Ham broke the deadlock with the last kick of the match in front of their home crowd against bottom-of-the-table Sunderland. 

Week 10 - The top three all scored 4 away from home and are still only separated by goal difference. Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan scored 2 apiece as Manchester City brushed WBA aside while substitute Olivier Giroud scored with his first 2 touches and Alexis Sanchez netted a brace as Arsenal buried Sunderland 4-1 and despite James McArthur heading 2 equalisers for Crystal Palace, Liverpool ran out 4-2 winners in South London. Chelsea won 2-0 at Southampton while Leicester drew 1-1 at Tottenham and ten-man Manchester United were held to a goalless draw at home to Burnley. Bournemouth lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough and Hull City fell to an own goal at Watford while Everton defeated West Ham 2-0 at Goddison and on Monday evening Wilfred Bony scored twice against his former club as Stoke City enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Swansea City.            

Leicester City kings of England

Week 31 - Leicester City picked up another 1-0 victory winning at Crystal Palace while Tottenham cruised 3-0 past Bournemouth with a double from Harry Kane at White Hart Lane and Arsenal were 2-0 winners at Everton. Chelsea earned a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham as Fabregas completed his brace with a last minute penalty while Stoke City enjoyed a 2-1 victory at Watford and there were 1-0 wins for Norwich at West Brom and for Swansea at home to Aston Villa. Manchester United won the Manchester derby by a single goal at City and Sunderland shared the spoils with Newcastle in a 1-1 draw at St James' Park while Sadio Mane had his penalty saved but struck twice as Southampton came from 2 down in the first half to run out 3-2 winners at home to Liverpool.

Week 32 - Arsenal avenged their recent FA Cup defeat to Watford with a comfortable 4-0 win at the Emirates and there were 4-0 wins for Manchester City, who struck 3 times in the first 19 minutes and topped off their victory at Bournemouth with a 4th in the last minute, and for Chelsea who won at lowly Aston Villa with 2 from Pedro Rodriguez. Newcastle fought back from 2 down to level the match with 2 goals from Mitrovic but lost to a last minute goal at relegation rivals Norwich while Crystal palace drew 2-2 at 10-man West Ham and Sunderland played a goalless match at home to West Bromwich Albion. Swansea City earned a 2-2 draw having trailed by 2 goals at Stoke while Tottenham drew 1-1 at Liverpool and Everton fell to a single goal at Manchester United. Leicester City continued their winning streak with another 1-0 win as they entertained Southampton.

Week 33 - West Ham United came from 2 goals down to take the lead with a hat-trick from Andy Carroll but were pegged back to 3-3 at home to Arsenal while Leicester City took another step towards the league title with a double from Vardy at Sunderland and Tottenham kept their hopes alive as they brushed Manchester United aside with 3 goals in the space of 6 minutes at White Hart Lane. Aston Villa are on the brink of relegation after losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth while Norwich suffered a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace and Newcastle were comfortably beaten 3-1 at Southampton. Manchester City came from behind to win 2-1 at home to West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool crushed Stoke City 4-1 at Anfield with a brace from Origi while Swansea enjoyed a 1-0 victory at home to Chelsea and Everton drew 1-1 at Watford. In a rescheduled match on Wednesday evening 10-man Everton drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace.

Week 34 - A single goal at Manchester United confirmed Aston Villa's relegation as Sunderland picked up 3 vital points with a 3-0 victory at Norwich and Newcastle enjoyed the same result at home to Swansea. In a controversial match Leicester City fell behind after the dismissal of goal scorer Jamie Vardy but earned a 2-2 draw at home to West Ham with a stoppage-time penalty and Arsenal dropped more points as they could only draw 1-1 at home to Crystal Palace while Tottenham marched on with a brace each from Harry Kane and Dele Alli at Stoke on Monday evening. Sergio Aguero completed a hat-trick for Manchester City at Chelsea as keeper Courtois saw red late in the match while Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes saved 2 penalties to help the Hornets hold on to a 1-0 victory at West Brom. Southampton Drew 1-1 at Everton and Liverpool won 2-1 at Bournemouth. In midweek matches Manchester City drew 1-1 at Newcastle while West Ham defeated Watford 3-1 with 2 penalties from Mark Noble at Upton Park, Crystal Palace lost 2-0 at Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez scored both goals in Arsenal's home win over West Brom and 10-man Everton were pummelled 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield.      

Week 35 - Arsenal'a title hopes were extinguished at the Stadium of light as they drew blanks against Sunderland who moved out of the bottom three while Leicester overpowered Swansea 4-0 at home with 2 goals from Ulloa and are a win away from the Premier League title after Tottenham were held to a 1-1 home draw against West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening with Craig Dawson scoring at both ends. Newcastle came from 2 goals down to earn a point at Liverpool while relegated Aston Villa lost 4-2 at home to Southampton with Tadic netting a brace for the visitors. Iheanacho scored twice as Stoke City were taken apart 4-0 at Manchester City and Chelsea sailed 4-1 past Bournemouth with 2 goals from Eden Hazard at the Vitality Stadium.

Week 36 - Leicester City won the English Premier League with 2 matches to spare. The Foxes who saw Danny Drinkwater sent off late at Manchester United earned a 1-1 draw and were crowned champions when Chelsea fought back from 2 goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Tottenham in a tempestuous match on Monday evening. A double from Kelechi Iheanacho was not enough as Manchester City lost 4-2 at Southampton thanks to a hat-trick from Sadio Mane while Arsenal struggled to beat lowly Norwich 1-0 at the Emirates and Liverpool who were reduced to 10 men lost 3-1 at Swansea with Andre Ayew netting a brace. Mark Noble scored twice as West Ham triumphed 3-0 at West Brom while Watford came from behind to enjoy a 3-2 home win against 10-man Aston Villa with 2 goals from Troy Deeney in stoppage time and Everton won 2-1 at home to Bournemouth. Sunderland earned a vital point in a 1-1 draw with a stoppage-time penalty at Stoke while Newcastle picked up all 3 points with a single goal as visitors Crystal palace failed to score from the spot.

Week 37 - Jamie Vardy returned from suspension to net a double and miss a penalty as newly crowned champions Leicester City celebrated at home with a 3-1 win over Everton while at the other end of the table with Newcastle failing to score at Aston Villa and Norwich losing 1-0 at Manchester United, Sunderland moved out of the relegation zone having twice come from behind at the Stadium of Light to defeat Chelsea 3-2 with John Terry ending his season having seen red in stoppage time. West Ham United were stunned 4-1 at home by Swansea City while Stoke City's lead was blown away by a Dwight Gayle double at Crystal Palace and West Brom drew 1-1 at Bournemouth having missed a penalty. On Sunday Southampton upset Tottenham 2-1 with a Steven David double at White Hart Lane while Arsenal drew 2-2 at Manchester City and Watford lost 2-0 at Liverpool. On Tuesday 2 Anthony Martial goals were not enough for Manchester United as Wes Ham United rallied to a 3-2 victory in the last match ever at Upton Park and on Wednesday a double from Lamine Kone helped Sunderland to a 3-0 win over Everton at the Stadium of Light securing the Black Cats' survival in the Premier League while relegating bitter rivals Newcastle and Norwich who went down despite a 4-2 home win against Watford with a brace from Dieumerci Mbokani. Liverpool scored in stoppage time to draw 1-1 with Chelsea at Anfield.

Week 38 - Arsenal finished 2nd in the league after brushing bottom-of-the-table Aston Villa aside 4-0 at the Emirates with a hat-trick from Olivier Giroud as Tottenham were thrashed 5-1 at 10-man relegated Newcastle with a brace from Wijnaldum and Manchester City drew 1-1 at Swansea City. West Ham United took the lead but suffered a hammer blow in their bid to qualify for the Europa League losing 2-1 to a late goal at Stoke while FA Cup finalists Crystal Palace were taken apart 4-1 at Southampton who finished 6th after being overtaken by Manchester United who defeated Bournemouth 3-1 on Tuesday evening having had their original match postponed for security reasons. Having parted company with manager Roberto Martinez Everton ended the season with a 3-0 home win over relegated Norwich City while Sunderland celebrated survival with a 2-2 draw at Watford who bid farewell to manager Quique Sanchez and Liverpool drew 1-1 at West Brom. Champions Leicester City ended their season with a 1-1 draw at outgoing champions Chelsea who finished in 10th spot.
